Candidates, clean up after yourselves.

It appears that Liz Vazquez, or some of her campaign workers, has grown some community service abilities. Her campaign signs that were hanging or discarded on the ground have been picked up. Maybe this post had something to do with that- I would like to think so.

Driving around Anchorage I see way too many political signs left over from the last election. And in some cases from several elections past.

The most significant litter bug is Liz Vazquez, with her signs all over our neighborhoods.

Liz, it's been well over a year since you lost your last election bid and still your signs are all over the place.

These photos were taken within the last 2 weeks.

And by the way, Liz, having them blown off the fence by the wind doesn't count as removing them.

While Liz is by far the biggest offender, other candidates can join the litterbug list.

These two are on the same fence along Sand Lake Road.

If you're a good neighborhood detective,
you can probably figure out where this sign is.

While either the wind, some vandal, or a campaign worker has torn down the poster part of the sign, the frame remains and you can see the red remnants on the frame are obviously from Liz Vazquez's signs.
You may be a perpetual candidate and plan to run again, don't just tear the poster part down and throw it on the ground, but remove the huge wooden frame too.

Whether you are civically minded or not, you are good at getting your campaign workers to erect these signs. The least you can do is to have them removed after the election let alone over two years after.
